Independent Emergency Power Even in Case of Station Blackout

A loss of outside power (LOOP) or a station blackout (SBO) automatically triggers the emergency diesel generators (EDGs) to start. When this happens operational systems no longer receive electric power – only safety systems are fed by the EDGs. When the operational systems are deactivated like this, cold water is injected into hot systems which causes stresses and reduces the lifetime of the equipment.

The Containerized Investment Protection Diesel Generator (IPDG) Stations provide operational power for selected operational systems in the case of a LOOP.
This avoids activation of emergency systems and cold water injection, thus providing investment protection for the plant.

Your benefits

  • Fast power supply for selected operational systems in the case of a LOOP
  • Start together with the EDGs
  • System integration experience over many years
  • Unique application variability
  • Compact and easy commissioning
  • Competitive standard solutions
